Visa-Free Entry for Russians: "They Especially Love Coming to Sanya!"
9月2日，外交部发言人郭嘉昆表示，为进一步便利中外人员往来，中方决定扩大免签国家范围，自2025年9月15日至2026年9月14日，对俄罗斯持普通护照人员试行免签政策，俄罗斯持普通护照人员来华经商、旅游观光、探亲访友、交流访问，过境不超过30天，可免办签证入境。去哪儿数据显示，相关消息发布后的半小时内，去哪儿平台上以莫斯科为出发地的机票搜索量周同比增长近一倍，瞬时搜索量最高达到近4倍。
On September 2nd, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun announced that, to further facilitate people-to-people and business exchanges between China and other countries, China has decided to expand the scope of visa-free entry policies. From September 15th, 2025, to September 14th, 2026, ordinary passport holders from Russia will be eligible for a trial visa-free policy. Russian nationals holding ordinary passports traveling to China for business, tourism, visiting relatives or friends, cultural exchanges, or transit (stays not exceeding 30 days) will be allowed to enter without a visa. According to data from the travel platform Qunar, within half an hour after the announcement, searches for flights departing from Moscow on the Qunar platform increased nearly twofold week-on-week, with peak instantaneous search volumes reaching nearly four times the usual level.
免签政策在业界看来非常利好入境游。从今年暑期的入境游来看，去哪儿数据显示，俄罗斯是入境游的Top3客源国，在此次免签政策加持下，来自俄罗斯的入境游旅客量有望大幅增加。
The travel industry views the visa-free policy as highly beneficial for inbound tourism. Data from Qunar shows that during this summer's travel season, Russia was among the top three source countries for inbound tourists to China. With the added incentive of the visa-free policy, the number of inbound tourists from Russia is expected to rise significantly.
来自携程的数据显示，在刚刚结束的暑期旅游市场中，俄罗斯位列中国入境游五大客源国之一。7月以来携程平台上俄罗斯入境游订单同比增长150%。俄罗斯旅客青睐的国内目的地TOP10为北京、上海、三亚、广州、哈尔滨、深圳、西安、张家界、成都、杭州。
Data from Ctrip indicates that in the just-concluded summer travel market, Russia ranked among the top five source countries for inbound tourism to China. Since July, inbound tourism orders from Russia on the Ctrip platform have increased by 150% year-on-year. The top 10 domestic destinations favored by Russian travelers are Beijing, Shanghai, Sanya, Guangzhou, Harbin, Shenzhen, Xi'an, Zhangjiajie, Chengdu, and Hangzhou.
近年来，中俄两国间的交通网络持续加密，为旅行提供了多样化选择。同程研究院相关负责人表示，随着中俄免签政策的持续优化，以及旅游基础设施和服务网络的持续完善，中俄两国间的文化和旅游交流互访或将变得更加频繁。
In recent years, transportation links between China and Russia have continued to expand, offering travelers more diverse options. A relevant official from Tongcheng Research Institute stated that, with the ongoing optimization of the China-Russia visa-free policy and the continuous improvement of tourism infrastructure and service networks, cultural and tourism exchanges and mutual visits between the two countries may become even more frequent.
